كاتدرائيّة مار مارون - بيت الدّينسنة ١٨٢٩ وهب الأمير قاسم شهاب المطران يوحنا الحلو (البطريرك لاحقًا) قطعة أرض لبناء كنيسة على اسم مار مارون لأبناء البلدة، هذه الكنيسة الأولى هي السكرستيّا اليوم. سعى لبناء الكنيسة الحاليّة الأمير بشير الثاني الشهابيّ الكبير، وكرّسها البطريرك يوسف حبيش في زيارته لمركز الإمارة في أيّار سنة ١٨٣٧، وجعلها كرسيًّا لرئيس أساقفة صور وصيدا المطران عبدالله البستاني، وبنى له دارًا للمطرانيّة بقربها، ليكون مركز المطران بجوار مركز الإمارة. تعرّضت الكنيسة للتخريب مرّتين: سنة ١٨٦٠ و١٩٨٣. أعيد ترميمها أخيرًا في تسعينيّات القرن العشرين.The Cathedral of St Maroun - Beit El DinIn 1829 Prince Qasem Chehab gave Bishop Youhanna El Helou (later Patriarch) a parcel of land to build a church dedicated to St Maroun on, this old church is used today as a sacristy. The current cathedral was built by Prince Bechir the second Chehab and consecrated by Patriarch Youssef Hobeich during his visit to the seat of power in Beit El Din in May 1838, and made it the seat of the archbishop of Tyr and Sidon, with its first prelate Archbishop Abdallah El Boustany. The archbishopric was constructed adjacent to the church, so that the seat of the Archbishop would be near the princely palace. The church was devastated during the wars of 1860 and 1983, and finally renovated during the nineties.

The church dates back to the Phoenician era with a high vault. The great frensh orientalist Ernest Renan retraced its history with its huge stone pillars. The church had a great Phoenician tympant with two snakes revolving around a globe. The huge stone was taken to the Louvre museum by Renan.
The final stage and most recent construction dates back to 1870 when the church was rededicated by bishop Yousef el Marid.

تعود الى العهد الفينيقي لأنها مبنيّة بعقد قصبة مرتفعة وكانت معبدًا وثنيًّا.
أشار إرنست رينان الى وجود اعمِدة أثريّة استُعملت في مداميك البناء. رُمّمت وزيد عليها مع تعاقب المراحل التاريخيّة.
رينان انتزع عتبة الكنيسة وأرسلها الى متحف اللوفر في باريس، وهي تحمل نقشًا من الرموز التي كانت شائعةً في الدين الفينيقي يمثّل كرةً تلتفُّ حولها حيّاتٌ مجتمعة الأذناب في أعلاها
رُمِّمت هذه الكنيسة عدَّة مرّات، وكُرِّست عام 1870 بيد المطران يوسف المريض. وصورة مار جرجس فيها هي بريشة الرسّام بولس شلافك

كنيسة مار أنطونيوس الكبير القديمة - الرميلة

هي كنيسة بعقدٍ سريريٍّ وحنية واحدة، تعود للقرون الوسطى. بدايةً بنى هذا المكان المسلمون الشيعة، بدليل إتجاه البناء نحو الجنوب وليس الشرق، كما هي عادة الكنائس. في القرن الثامن عشر، وبعد معارك مع الدروز ترك الشيعة البلدة وأسكنوا الموارنة مكانهم، وأعطوهم البناء فحوّلوه إلى كنيسةٍ على اسم مار أنطونيوس الكبير. تعرّضت الكنيسة للتخريب خلال الحرب الأهليّة اللبنانيّة سنة ١٩٨٥، ورمّمت في تسعينيّات القرن العشرين.

The church of St Anthony the Great - Rmeileh

The church is a medieval crib vaulted structure. In the beginning, the building was built by the Chiites, for this reason it is oriented to the south and not to the east like other churches. In the XVIIIth century the Chiites left the village after their battles with the Druze. The Maronites came along and settled in and were given the old shrine that was converted into a church dedicated to St Anthony the Great. The church was severely sabotaged during the Lebanese civil war in 1985, and it was renovated a decade later.

كنيسة مار سابا - عبدين

أواخر القرن الثامن عشر استوطن عبدين عائلات من الفلّاحين شركاء لمشايخ آل صعب، وبنوا لهم قبوًا صغيرًا ليكون كنيسةً مكرّسة لمار سابا. سنة ١٨٨٤ بوشر بناء الكنيسة الحاليّة بسعي الخوري يوحنّا العلم وتمّ البناء سنة ١٨٨٩. تحوي الكنيسة لوحة لمار سابا من عمل كنعان ديب تعود لسنة ١٨٥٣.

The church of St Sabas - Abdin

At the end of the XVIIIth century, the village of Abdin was inhabited by families who worked for the Saabs, a local feudal family. The first inhabitants built a small vault to be dedicated as a church. In 1884 with the aid of Fr Youhanna El Alam a new church began to be built. The construction was done in 1889. The church holds a painting of St Sabas by Kanaan Dib dating back to 1853.
